Recruitment Ads from World War 1 + 2 at L’Hotel national des Invalides

Hi folks, after a small absence of blogging, due to a well over due long holiday which involved a bit of rambling around Holland, Belgium and Paris for approx 4 weeks I’m back in Ireland and blogging again. I think this is the longest break I’ve ever had blogging since I started 8 years ago and it felt good to turn off the RSS reader, get off the grid, leave the laptop and iPad behind and take a break for a while.

On my trip I got a chance to go around Paris in 38 degrees of roasting heat. On one of these days I decided to dodge the weather and spend a half day in the very impressive Les Invalides officially known as L’Hôtel national des Invalides (The National Residence of the Invalids). It’s where Napolean’s very impressive burial tomb is but also has the best world war 1 and world war 2 museums I’ve ever seen.payday loans I’d highly recommend visiting it, and if you do, give yourself at least half a day.
